石川・駅前さくら交通、３０台増車し商号変更
昨年６月に運転代行業からタクシー業に新規参入した駅前さくら交通が、車両を大幅に増車し、商号も「北陸さくら交通」に変更します。
来月から「北陸さくら交通」に 駅前さくら交通、小型３５台に増車
昨年６月にタクシー事業に新規参入し、「駅前さくら交通」を運営する森川商店（金沢市）は、車両台数を現在の小型５台から３５台に大幅増車するとともに、４月１日付で商号を「北陸さくら交通」に変更する。参入から１年足らずで、一気に中堅タクシー会社に規模を拡大、事業を本格化させる。
初乗り５６０円の低料金に加え新たに傘１万本を用意、雨天時の無料貸与サービスを開始する。増車の３０台はすべて新車で、カーナビ付き。運転手の制服には山本寛斎ブランドを導入する。
主力の運転代行（駅前さくら代行、車両１５台）が道交法の改正により二種免許が必要となり、運転手の確保や競合激化により、収益が悪化、タクシー事業を拡大する。大幅増車に伴う運転手の確保は、４月１日付で同じ名鉄グループの石川交通（金沢市）にタクシー事業を譲渡する北陸交通（同）の退職者を中心に積極採用する。
年間売り上げ目標は運転代行の約１億円を含め計４億円。森川一夫社長は「年内に５０台まで増車する計画で、将来的には１００台以上を目指す。運転代行との相乗効果も追求していきたい」と話している。

なお、同社では来年三月をめどに「駅前さくら交通」としてタクシー業界に参入する予定で準備をすすめている。五年後には、代行業とタクシー業の比率を一対一とし、売上五億円を目指す。また、介護タクシーも視野に、社員にホームヘルパーの資格を取得させるなど、競争激化の中で顧客獲得に意欲的だ。
