広島・流川地区でタクシー違法駐車なくす試み

客待ちタクシー違法駐車解消へ　広島市流川地区 　■独自に待機場　コンビニと連携
　夜になると客待ちで違法駐車するタクシーが列をつくる広島市中区の流川地区で、タクシー会社が独自に待機、乗車場を確保するなど違法駐車を無くす動きが出ている。コンビニとタイアップする試みもあり、問題の解決に向けた取り組みが広がっている。

　日の丸タクシー（同市佐伯区）と日の丸交通（同市安佐南区）は八月から、流川地区の南側に数台が待機できる乗り場を設けた。「客の支持を得るため、他社にも続いてほしい」と訴える。
　広島第一交通（広島市西区）は六～十月、中央通り沿いの駐車場を借り、夜間のタクシー乗り場を設置した。四台が待機でき、客は駐車場から乗車する。所有者の都合で十月で休止したが、同社は「解消へ業界に一石投じることができた。再開に向けて新たな場所を探している」と言う。

　県タクシー協会広島支部も十二日から客待ちタクシー減らしと犯罪の抑止を狙い、市内のコンビニ十一店の駐車場の一部を待機場所にしている。

　客待ちタクシーについては、バス停への駐車や横断歩道への乗り上げ、二重駐車などが問題になっている。警察のパトロールで一時解消してもすぐに元に戻る。バスが停留所に入れず、車道で客を降ろさざるを得なかったり、タクシーを避けながら横断歩道を渡る人も目立つ。【後略】

　広島の客待ちタクシーは、以前から問題になっていたようです。駐車場を借りて乗り場を設けるのは面白いアイデアだと思いますが、タクシー会社が設置した方がよいのでしょうか。それともタクシー協会などが設置した方がよいのでしょうか？
