東京モーターショー２００４ 日産ディーゼル
日産ディーゼルの目玉は、尿素SRCシステム「FLENDS」と、それを搭載した新型大型トラック「Quon」である。
エンジン周りのカットモデル。超高圧燃料噴射が採用され、PMの低減と燃費向上に寄与している。また、手前の細いタンクは、「AdBlue」という尿素水のタンクである。
尿素水は、このように触媒に添加され、NOxを低減する。
気になるのが尿素水の供給であるが、全国約８００カ所のトラックステーション・ガソリンスタンドや日産ディーゼルのサービス拠点で行われる。ステージ上のQuonの脇にはこのような尿素水のディスペンサーも展示されていた。
また、Quonには世界初採用となる運転席SRSニーエアバッグも設定される。ハンドルポスト左右部分もエアバッグとなっており、ドライバーの安全確保に寄与している。
